Imagine a beach in a place where none exists. Thus was born the idea of creating an artificial beach in the interior of Portugal, in Mangualde. This is a pioneering project in Europe with an integrated concept of beach and entertainment that came to revolutionize the concept of summer for the people that live far from the coast.
Located in Viseu, the most crowded district of the interior, this leisure proposal is a viable alternative to promote tourism within the country, allowing that in a tough economy some families can enjoy the true experience of the summer without spending all their resources. With all elements of a real beach, this artificial beach was created on a 22 thousand m2 park – which includes the salt water pool with 20 meters of depth, a sandy area of 10.586 meters and an entertainment area.
Given that this was a summer project with the purpose of reinforce the reputation of Live Beach on a continuous way, promoting daily activities and reports on the premises, we also sent invitations to strategic medias and public figures to visit the place.
All days and nights of Live Beach had an appealing program, marked by parties, concerts and animations. In Mangualde acted some of the best Portuguese musicians and the place registered more than 6.000 persons in some moments. When the Live Beach disco, LW Club, was inaugurated and with the intention of promoting this place, it was made an association with a public figure that increased the inflow to the disco and on the social networking pages.
The results achieved with the communication of this Project were outstanding, recording a total of 354 news; 12 plays of 1h30 on television; 9mins on radio; 32 interviews, 20 music concerts, an average of 2.000 daily visits and a ROI of 1.041.809,86€.
